Using a data jack coupler

Learn how to move your Internet from one room to another using a data jack coupler. 

A data jack coupler allows you to connect the data Ethernet cable to the Ethernet cables coming from the other rooms in your house. The coupler and the Ethernet cables should be located in the wall panel, which can usually be found in the den or storage closet.

  1. Find the data coupler within the wall panel. You should see several Ethernet cables, which should be labeled with which room they connect to.
  2. Plug the data Ethernet cable into the data jack coupler along with the Ethernet cable from the room your wish to activate.
