How To Rename Your WiFi Network and Change the Password on Your Calix 844 Router

Learn how to change your WiFi name and password.

With the Router connected to your PC with an Ethernet cable or your device that has been connected wirelessly, open a browser and enter the following URL into the address bar and then press enter: http://192.168.1.1

At the login prompt, enter the user/password located on the side of the router.

From the Main Menu click on

1. Wireless
2. SSID Setup

3. Rename the SSID
4. Apply
5 .Security

6. Use Custom Security Key
7. Enter Password
8. Apply Repeat steps for the 5G Network – add 5G to end of SSID
**Reconnect to the wireless network after steps 4 and 8**
