Connecting a router
Learn how to set-up your Internet connection with a router.
By using a router, you can provide Internet access to many devices. You only need to register one device (your router) on the Novus network.
- Plug one end of an ethernet cable into the ethernet outlet on your wall and the other end into the WAN port located on the back of your router (this port is sometimes called the Internet port or uplink port).
- Register this device onto the Novus network.
If you’re using a wireless router, we strongly recommend that you secure your wireless connection with a password. Please refer to your router manual for instructions on how to secure your router or reset your router if you cannot log on your wireless network.
