Using an in-wall patch panel
Learn how to move your Internet from one room to another using an in-wall patch panel.
An in-wall patch panel is located inside a wall panel which is usually located in the den or storage closet.
- Inside the wall panel, you should see a patch panel similar to the image below. The main data jack will be labeled as HR, Data, or DSL.
- Using a short Ethernet cable to connect the main data jack to the room where you would like an Internet connection.
This will activate the jack in the room you’ve chosen.
